Allyson Felix

Allyson Nicole Felix was born on the 18th of November on the 18th of November from Los Angeles. Paul Felix, her father, was an ordained pastor of Master's Seminary Sun Valley. Marlean Felix worked at Balboa Magnet Elementary School. Felix was able to show an early interest for sports when she was taking classes at Los Angeles Baptist High School. Felix discovered her athletic potential at the when she was just a teenager. Within 10 weeks of her first attempt, she finished with a second-place finish in the 200-meter race at the U.S. Indoor Track and Field Championship. Felix agreed to sign a contract with Adidas for an official career at Adidas in 2003. She then enrolled at University of Southern California to take classes in elementary school. In 2004, Felix achieved her debut Olympic medal in the 2004 Summer Olympics in Athens Greece setting the world junior record doing 200 meters within 22.18 seconds. The year 2005 was the time she became the world's youngest champion in 200 meters in the Helsinki World Championships. She was able to defend her title in 2007 surpassing her long-time Jamaican rival Veronica Campbell. Felix was a regular competitor at Beijing, London Rio de Janeiro, as well as Tokyo. She always finished among the top three in the events.
